Breakdown of the Show
- Judge Robert Eckles talks about updates on the High Speed Rail. They have completed their environmental study and getting close to a route. Out 290 through CyFair and up through Navasota and on to Dallas.
- Judge Eckles discusses some of the push back Texas Central Rail is getting from people. Business and Metro Areas are for the most part OK with HSR the rural counties are giving some push back. Noise, Land Access and Safety are some of the concerns.
- Judge Leman informs us about some of the questions and concerns he has for the High Speed Rail. Is it financially feasible and will the government have to bail out. He doesn’t think the usage they are predicting will happen. HSR says 10 million per year and the HSR on the heavily populated East Coast only gets 3+ million per year.
- Judge Leman talks about some of the local concerns for with HSR coming through his county. Fair price for purchase of home owners land, access to land and local police and fire department delays because of road changes.
