  • Rick Alspaugh, owner of Alspaugh’s Ace Hardware, joins us in an interview from the Lake Houston Home and Garden Show to talk about his two locations, Kingwood and The Woodlands, and how they can help home owners find the hard to find or rare parts for things that need fixing at their homes. He also talks about his stores community outreach.
  • Jim Sheffield, General Manager of Northampton MUD, joins us to discuss how a MUD can help a community and their HOA revitalize amenities left behind by the builder or how to start a REC program from scratch. He suggests starting with a survey of the residents to see what ideas they may have. He give is pros and cons on swimming pools/teams, tennis courts, skate parks, dog parks, basketball courts, soccer fields, walking trails, pavilions and work out centers.
  • Melissa Cook, a Taylor Morrison sales rep in Springwoods Village talks with Shannon about all the amenities in the community and what each builder has to offer. She discusses how the community is laid out from residential, commercial to public areas and green space.
  • Vanessa Perry with Impeccable Credit Services joins us to talk about how people can repair their credit as they look to move out of leasing or rental into qualifying for a home loan. Vanessa talks about some of the best strategies consumers can use to get their score up. One suggestion is opening “trade lines”. However, not all trade lines are the same.
